In case you haven't heard, the College of American Psychopaths, err I mean Pathologists, sent out one of the world's most deadly flu viruses, unlabeled, to almost 4000 clinics. Only by the grace of God did a lab in BC stumble across the real identity of the virus, in time (hopefully) to alert everyone. The strain killed 4 million people in the 50's and no one born since then is resistant to it.

So, America tries to poison the world, and Canada stops it. All in a day's work.

Its not that we have no cure.... we just aren't producing the vaccine for that strain of Flu at this time. The reason why it killed so many millions when it did was that we did not have penicillin or vaccines in those days.

The flu killed more people than WWI during those years, not because it is a "killer strain", but simply because we did not have anti-biotics. This is getting blown up out of proportion in order to sell papers. IMHO (and also in the opnion of a friend of mine who is with the CDC that I spoke with this afternoon...

well thats a wonderful relief, and thank you for posting that - brings a smile to my face to see that the MEDIA (please note my comments were about the media slant and not americans as a whole) recognizes some of Canadas efforts.

After Canada stepped out of the full participation on the War in Iraq political parties and media tended to slant things against Canada forgetting that we assisted a few years back in freeing some american hostages and many other efforts that went unrecognized. We provided major assistance when 911 happened in clean up etc and Bush totally snubbed us not even mentioning we were a friend of USA in a state of the Union address shortly after that.

You must admit that Canada normally gets ignored when good things happen or for its success when it comes to American Press (hell try starting a Hate Canada Thread, and you will have strong GFY supporters on the issue)
