 You just said it yourself, once again I am correct.
 
 |  What he is referring to is this: banks look at chargebacks on a monthly basis, your chargeback rate for April is composed of chargebacks that are coming in from transactions that occurred in Jan, Feb, March, etc...as well as the sales that are happening in April, therefore, if you do something to restrict the sales that are coming in April(while you have no control over the # of cb that are coming in), you reduce the denominator of the equation, which inadvertently raises your chargeback % for April.
 
Regarding this thread, there are times of the year which, by their own virtue, are slower than other times, tax time is one of them. This is the time of year where, in preparation of submitting their taxes, consumers scrutinize bank and credit card statements in preparation for their taxes. I know that I spent the last week pouring over my receipts/statements, etc, called and questioned some charges, canceled 2 recurring charges, and made sure that my finances were straight. A slight slowdown around tax time is a trend that is seen every year and once over, things generally pick up |
