2-3 times a week I work out at the gym, the other days I'm golfing or hiking.

(My tuesday ommelette is the only thing cooked in a pan that way) I eat unsalted nuts as snacks as well as carrots and dried peas. Dinner's usually consist of like grilled steak, fish, chicken etc. with a veggie side and water or crystal light. I have almost completely cut out coffee as I was told by a nutritionalist that it helps store fat or something. I have been drinking alot of greentea here lately, funny you mentioned it. I may hit you up for some decent ways to use flax seed. I have a ton of it but no idea how to fix it.

That sounds perfect. The only thing to watch out for is your calorie intake versus your activity level if you're trying to lose weight, or even if you're trying to gain muscle make sure you eat enough protein.

If you're more active one day, eat a bit more (or you don't have to if you're not hungry / don't have a headache; your body will tell you if you're hungry / dehydrated).

The only problem I seem to be having is in the morning if I don't eat before I work out I feel very sick like I am going to puke and like I am going to pass out. The vitamin supplements have been helping some but I have got to eat before hand or I am screwed.

c) looking round and good. Who wants to run around with a decent upper body and tiny tooth pick chicken legs.

Here are the best compound lifting excercises (IMO):

1. Deadlift (legs, back)
2. Squat (legs)
3. Wide Grip Pullup (Arms, Back)
4. Dips (Tri, Chest)
5. Barbell Benchpress (Tri, Chest)
6. Barbell Curl (Bi, Shoulders)
7. Bentover Barbell Row (Upper Back)

Yet 9 outta 10 guys in the gym only work biceps & chest, go figure.

Dips - I hate them..Im sure the way I do them is quite girley but my trainer does pore water under me so if I try to just sit down on the ground i will wet my ass!!! I have walked out a few times with a soaked ass!!

Excellent list. Compound movements are the only way to go.

I've stayed away from the machines and cables this time around and noticed a huge difference.

I'm a yo-yo fitness buff. I'm on or off. Like a light switch. Working out isn't something that I've ever been able to half-ass. A work out partner is a vital thing for me. Looking for a hottie 21 year old former cheerleader personal trainer girlfriend in the Tampa Bay area.

Yes. 3 times a week. I start with a walk to the gym, then stretching, followed by abb work: (which is sit-ups on different machines) then I proceed to weights. After all that I do Cardio stuff and I finish with a little kick boxing.

i teach karate 6 days a week, 2 classes a day. then i train with my other instructors 3 times a week, so those are my real workouts as the teaching is just that, teaching, not much of a workout.

I haven't been back to the gym since i broke my wrist. Surgery was about 4 months ago, and i've really just been putting it off. This thread is the reminder i needed. Before i broke my wrist, i was doing 3 weights workouts per week and about 3 cardio workouts. I also ride and have recently started running again. Really want to get into some mountain bike trail riding, but i don't really know where the fuck to go in Brisbane to find good trails.

sickkittens 04-12-2005 09:18 AM

I walk and/or jog almost every day. Need to bring my weights to my place to start that out.
