With all due respect, you're being a dumbass. Go back to school, get your diploma and go to college. The breadth of knowledge and the social conditioning you will get is invaluable. I share a similar disillusionment with the typical 9-to-5, 2.3 kids, etc expectation, but you shouldn't let that keep you from being prepared in life. I have 5 degrees if you could majors and minors in undergrad and grad school, and I'm not using any of them...instead I'm doing something I taught myself. BUT I would never go back and make a different choice, because that well-rounded education HELPS me think outside the box. Just my 2 cents...

It's your life to live. Personally I say go back, honestly, do what makes you happy, if you fuck up your life, then you'll only have yourself to blame. No system can choose your destiny unless you allow it to. Education through traditional means does not make you a sheep. Life is about choices and best preparing yourself for those choices. We may have the worst test scores in the state, but atleast the day treatment center has more African Americans than Bryan Station. The day treatment center probobly take all of the blacks that cause to much trouble at Bryan Station. The way they district our High Schools gives the newer buildings the rich white kids and it gives Bryan Station, a school that is sinking into the ground literally, every black, white, and red ghetto in existance. Is this the social experience you think I need? I'm no racist, but you must understand that I would much rather have peers that don't steal my shit.

I just wanted to hear webmasters opinion on dropping out of school. I'm not going to lie and say I'm completely closed to other peoples opinions. Everything said is going to be put into a thought process. It's hard to drop out of high school without contemplating the thought "What if?".

if you are getting a 4.0 you should be able to easily get a GED at least.

(1) I'm not ridiculing you; I'm trying to help you.
(2) I'm not talking about your defunct high school; I'm talking about your opportunity to go to college for free, and the social growth you'll experience there
(3) If you're afraid that you'll fall into the supposedly 99% of conformity, then you're really letting situations control you, instead of the other way around.
(4) By equally educate, I mean giving yourself the breadth of knowledge that college does give. There's nothing more important than well rounded education and experience, and that's a very difficult thing to get staying at home behind a monitor.
(5) I'm not saying you can't get 99% of that on your own, but I somehow doubt you'll find the motivation to do so

What we do affects those we love and who love us. Stop being selfish. What are your actions doing to your family? Making money or not making money is not the issue. It's a matter of self-esteem and taking some time to make those happy around you who care about you.

I have a relative who dropped out of high school with just a few months left. He regretted it for the rest of his life. He now has five kids and he has worked long and hard to make sure each one finished college.

I guess I was not clear. You do not need that diploma today. You may never need it but it is nice to have when you are older. I am missing that college diploma and i can tell you it wuold be nice to have it once in a while. I can not imagine not having the high school diploma. So many people will judge you as stupid before knowing you. It is just a boulder that does not need to be there.

Of everyone I know that dropped out, they are all making below average income except two. One got lucky and the other built off his dad's already successful business.
