Can we simulate 90% like ours in 100.000 years?

If the world still stands in 100.000 years, do you think we will be able to make a computer simulate a world 90% og maybe even 99% like our own? .. If anyone says yes to this I will follow up with another question

(I just read this thread : http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=454185 so I thought, this is science night, let's discuss)

At this rate we won't make it another 100.

I'm not sure about that. As soon as we have nano robots that understand our whole body we will live like forever.. those will come way before the rest will kill us

I think

I agree, but that wasn't what the question was about

IF the world/humans will survive 100.000 years, do you think we then have computers than can simulate a world 90% like our own?

I wouldn't think so but even if it could... Chimpanzee DNA is over 95% identical to human DNA. Think about it.

(Some say 97-99% but this is disputed...)

Much sooner, which is why some believe we may already be in a simulation.

Yeah, but 95% same DNA doesn't mean 95% the same intelligents

I'm just saying... A simulated world tht's 90% identical to ours could be almost unrecognizeable to us.

In this vein, I read an excellent story a few years ago called "The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect" which you can read here.

The Answer is Emphatically YES!
