AT&T -- GO FUCK YOURSELF!
![]() FUCKING at&t has this software that "configures" your internet ever since the switchover from @home. and it won't let you access anything until your internet is "configured." So every time your internet connection is "configured" it also adds a bunch of things to your favorites list that are AT&T related and sets your FUCKING HOMEPAGE TO www.attbi.com --> AT&T's search engine page! That would be perfectly OK if you only had to do it once, but NO!!!! about once a WEEK they make you 're-configure' your internet connection .. How the fuck can ANYONE be mad at porn purveyors when AT&T does it so fucking blatantly???!?!? FUCK YOU AT&T FUCK YOU TO HELL! ------------------ -TaDoW I'm really not anyone important... |

Don't install the AT&T software... all you need is the settings they issue you. Plug them into your LAN settings and you're surfin'... fuck their shitty software.

Okay... 2nd up: Did you allow him access to the system? Meaning... did he have a chance to install any software?
If so... uninstall that shit right now. |

let me make a brief digression... the computer that he hooked up to was my girlfriend's, and the son of a bitch tried to ask her out for a date, when that failed, he tried to take her out to a party that friday... when that failed, he hooked us up with free cable, so I called it even. ![]() [This message has been edited by TaDoW (edited 01-04-2002).] |

I don't use the att software when I got the switchover and its on all the time. I believe the attbi service works differently than @home from what I can see.(may be different in your area) for example I can still surf around now with my computers being named different shit unlike the account name with @home.
the only thing that should matter is your news and mail settings but thats easy to find on their support website for your area. I would uninstall your browser and get that att crap off their and start over. |

I was with AT&T during their switch over and after my system went down for about 24 hours...I got the automated phone call and then simply 're-booted' my computer..that lasted for about 2 days..then my shit wouldnt' connect...so I shot down to the library and down loaded their 'configurator' or whatever that shit was and loaded that...
However, the only it changed with me was my 'home page' and the words in my MSIE browser now say..."Microsoft Internet Explorer Provided by AT&T"...but nothing else! I've got a Dlink router in front of the modem and only had to temporarily take it out of the loop for everything to get back in sync! TekArt |
