I was there from July 2002 til July 2003. To be honest, I actually hated the area. The only reason I was there was because my step-grandfather owns the building, so I got a discount on rent and it saved me the trouble of having to look for a place.

Ya the area is shitty.. but on the streets over dudemaine, it's still quite calm even though nothing is around there... nothing to do but get stabbed if you decide to walk down dudemaine or grenet ;) Moved to st-laurent/sherbrooke... couldn't make a better choice :)

Nah, it's not that I was worried about getting stabbed or anything... I've lived in worse areas (I grew up in NDG and CDN). I just found it way far from everything. I worked downtown at the time and all my friends were in NDG, so I never really did anything. Plus nothing was open 24 hours, which sucked for me since I'm a night person.

Ok all the same reasons I guess.. worked downtown, went to univ downtown.. avg time to get downtown 1.30 because of shitty unreliable 164, so 3hrs lost a day. Now everything here is open around the clock ;)

what do you think of Rosemont ? im still thinking about moving there or somewhere in Quebec city

I don't know Rosemont all too well. Personally, it's a little far for my liking. Where are you now?

And Freakster... the 164 sucked ass. So did the 170, which is what I usually took. It tooke me about 45 mins every day to get to Square-Victoria metro. Once I moved back to NDG, it took me less than 15.

Ok, I worked at square victoria too for 6 months, you are following me. :P

Right now though I work on st-laurent as well, so it's a 10 mins walk.. no more bullshit with bus/metro ;)
