From all the blogs I've visited in the past few years, Google's blog has the most convenient and logical layout. Everything else is just too much, especially those that feature fixed 11px font-sizes. WTF are they thinking.

Yep! I agree sometimes design is too overloaded.

People can lose the direction they should go - that's how it can happen in adult biz.

I think one should remember, that sometimes simple things turn out to be very effective. Just look at MET-ART GALLERIES - they look simple but at the same time very attractive and seducive as for me
