we didn't like it at all, but we had never read any of the comic books or anything

we found it really fast moving, kind of boring cause we didn't know the background or anything....great graphics though

I thought it was stylish and well acted. But really, the story was quite lacking and it didn't have the clever quirks that you might expect from a film like this. Yea, I would compare it to Kill Bill 1, minus the ingenious dialog and interesting characters. Didn't anyone find the violence boring after the first story? Didn't anyone find the movie boring after the first story??? Anyone notice how Mickey Rourke's character looked and acted so similar to Hellboy? Right down to the glove that he puts on one hand! Still a 6 or 7/10 I'd give it, just not the ultra-high praise everyone I know has given it.

I've read all the sin city comics and love them. The movie is basically a frame by frame remake of three of the comics. If you are a fan of the comics you will love this movie. If you are not, it still is good, fast paced and visually stunning. The cast is great and jessica alba is at her all time hottest. But my one and only complaint was how mickey rourke looked. He looked similar to the marv in the comics, but as stated he looked a little too much like hellboy for my tastes.

I am glad that they didn't whimp out on the over the top violence and the not so happy endings.

Buy the DVD. While it is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen, it leaves way to many questions unanswered so that people would buy the DVD after watching it in theatre.

I thought it was awful, but then again, I knew none of the history behind it. I just went to see Jessica Abla and due to the very little time she was actually in the movie, I was disapointed.

Am I the only one who thought the movie blew? Sure it was a cinematic masterpiece. Everything else sucked unless you like that level of violence.
