Here's one that no one has mentioed and a MUST see.

It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

Some of the greatest comedians ever, on top of there game well written, well directed and still stands the test of time. Look at the line up.

Spencer Tracy, Sid Caesar, Milton Berle, Buddy Hackett, Ethel Merman, Jimmy Durante, Mickey Rooney, Jonathan Winters, Phil Silvers, Dick Shawn, Terry-Thomas, Edie Adams, Dorothy Provine, Jim Backus, William Demarest, Peter Falk, Paul Ford, Leo Gorcey, Edward Everett Horton, Buster Keaton, Joe E. Brown, Carl Reiner, The Three Stooges, Jack Benny, Jerry Lewis and more.

Impossible to find that much talent today and if you could you could never afford it.

The Party is an old movie with Peter Sellers. He plays an Indian (as in, from India) who is a big-time clutz. He's invited by accident to a party in Hollywood and all hell breaks loose. Trust me, it's a classic.

Birdy-num-nums...
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh

And yes, Fletch is great too

Just saw "My Boss's Daughter" tonight. Didn't think I would be able to stand an Ashton Kutcher movie but was pleasantly surprised.
It's one of those "everything that can go wrong" movies and had some pretty wacky shit in it. I found myself laughing a lot as the stuff that happens just kept getting more and more outlandish.

Love Brokers 04-09-2005 01:58 AM

anything by Monty Python + The Groundhogday , ghostbusters
But the top commedies are made in Czech rep based on stories of Mr.Hrabal
I guess You will never know those movies and even if you see it you would never understand it - its Czech special and correspond with living here under communists pressure.

"A Fish Called Wanda" is probably the funniest movie I have ever seen (although who knows in my current state - I sat at home watching "Cold Mountain" tonight with the spousal unit - much hugs and tears).

I really liked "Midnight Run" and "Analyze This" too.

Animal House and the National Lampoon Vacation series were pretty good as well.

I can't believe no one mentioned this so far:

BLAZING SADDLES

The "camfire" scene is "historic." LOL

And, I must admit, I had forgotten about "The Party." Sellers was great in everything he did. He was always good for a great belly laugh. Good visual prat-fall artist.

Redrob 04-09-2005 06:24 AM

Pirates starring Walter Mathau and directed by Roman Polanski....you'll laugh till you shit your pants.

Great suggestions, guys!!! I ended up watching Van Wilder (un-cut version). I have seen it a ton of times, but it's one of those movies I can watch over and over again.
