I had something close happen once... Lost my wallet at an outdoor Holiday event. I had about $400 cash and my CC's, needless to say I was freaking. About 3 days later I got my wallet WITH cash and cc's mailed to me by someone that left no return address.. It's nice to see there are still a few people out there with a heart. Glad everything went ok with your episode QuaShe!

So I went to pick up my wallet yesterday and guess what...they can't find my wallet anymore at the fucking policestation. Can you believe that shit??? THEY LOST MY WALLET AT THE FUCING POLICE STATION!!!!!!!!!!

Have to call some other phone number now to see where it is, they thought maybe someone brought it to the central depot where they keep everything they find.

My GF lost her wallet in the WORST part of town last year. She had a a few $100 in it. Man was she ever worried and pissed.

After she threw a few hissy fits and bitching sessions she went about her day and went to the coin op to do the laundry, came home and at that moment the police called and asked her for her birth date, she told them and they asked her to come pick up her wallet.

Everything was there as it should be.. no money missing or anything.

Turns out a handicapped guy found it while wheeling about in his electric chair and brought it to the police station.

My girlfriend asked the cops where he could be found. So they gave her his address, she walked over and it took the poor guy 15 minutes to answer the door, he kept saying "Hold on, I'm coming".

He managed to crawl on his belly to the door pulling himself by his fingers, opened the door and my GF gave him a bunch of money.

Just goes to show that there are still honest people.

Some guy here lost like 50k Euros a while ago, he was about to buy a used bus in cash. Someone found it and brought it to the police, he got his money back.

I wouldn't think they would take it 2 the police station though

probably took the money and threw it away, then someone else found it and noticed the money was already gone and took it to the police station ;)))

wtf they lost it? what a morons... remembers me of the time I found wallet with 100 guilders in it (long ago), took it to the police station and IN FRONT OF ME the cop took the 100 out. So I went like WTF, he says no we're gonna keep that apart in a safe.

Obviously Ive never heard of it any more. Stupid cops.

Yeah they are asshats. WHat I do, is calling the cops I found stuff from person X, or I found a bike, whatever. That way you can keep it, when the legit owner does not show up, and you are not filling the pockets of these asshats.
