In a garbage can that homeless people go through and eat out of, and one of them died, would you be liable? Assuming that you just threw it away, not with the intent of killing anyone?

Well, if you've ever been to Oahu then you'd know theres a lot of homeless people. How is anyone supposed to know what cans they eat from and which ones they don't?

There are probably laws regarding the disposal of toxic materials anyway, and I doubt that putting it in your household garbage is acceptable.

There are laws in regards to dumping oil and stuff, but you can buy rat poison at the grocery store.
