Anyone own a Dell Inspiron 6000???

Just looking to replace an antique Inspiron2650, let me know what you like or dislike about it or if you recommend any other Dell laptops. I have a business account with Dell so not really interested in any other brands. It wont be used for gaming or anything crazy like that. Just need a solid, reliable faster machine than this 2650 from 4 years ago

I think the 6000 model is the one my brother has. He's had the keyboard replaced, the motherboard replaced, and the harddrive too. Some of these on several occasions. He uses the thing non-stop for the past 3 years, but I sure as hell haven't had problems like that with any machine I've owned. Although I don't own any notebooks.

Notebooks breaks down a lot more than desktops...10 to 1 atleast. I think you gotta expect 50/50 chance of a mother board an 90% chance of a keyboard replacement...

And in actuality, unless you skimp on the tech support package its not a big deal. Either they come to your house the next day and fix it on the spot or you send it in and its back within 5-7 days...just depends on which package you choose

I have the 2650 too!

Last week there was an awesome Dell notebook deal (I put a thread up here) but I thought I would wait it out another month-6 months before replacement.
