My Plane Broke Down SO I am late with my Phoenix Thread

Seriously, my plane was suppose to leave for London from Sky Harbor on Sunday at 5pm but when I showed up at 2pm for check in there was a big old 'cancelled' sign at the desk but no one there to give us any information. Two hours later the desk staff show up and fill us in that our plane has been stranded somewhere in Canada because of a water issue and that we were all going to be be put up in hotels for the night. The flight finally left at nearly 8pm Monday and I have been back in London maybe six hours.

My whole trip was fun from Philly to San Fran (I was so tempted to just stay there) and then the Forum. The forum was by far the best industry event I have been to and certainly the only one that lived up the hype I had heard about it before hand.

I know everyone is doing these threads but is feels rude not to do one because there were so many good people but I will mention just a few. They are in no real order..just people that come to mind as I type.

Don Mike - Hon, I am so glad we finally met. Now I can stalk you with knowledge that you really are as fun as I think you are. You know Rocky Horror wouldn't have been the Same without us.

Jasun - Whilst on the topic of Don, thank you for your kick ass DVD..very hot guys. It is funny when you chat with two people and get along with them both and THEN realize they know each other.

Raven & AarronM- Thank you for the hugs from both of you. That was a lovely way to walk into the conference. I can be a really shy person in large groups and that gave me a little kick to come out of my shell right from the start. Thank you also Aarron for clearing up some of those 2257 questions regarding grandfathering.

Baddog - More hugs and also it meant a lot to me to be able to say thank you to you in person and even more so that you helped me find other people, such as Rand that I also wanted to say thank you to in person.

Tonda and Cory - Tonda you know why you are on my list, thank you for taking care of that for me. Cory, you are cute ;)

Mindy - Not many people I can have a Tastykake conversation with in the middle of a dodgeball court.

Freakfish - Not enough time together but you know those hugs were meant. You really are my faveorite poster on any board and it was great to meet for real. I just wish I hadn't forgotten my kitty back in the room..i was going to have you freak it.

Sleazy - again, another brief one but I wanted to tell you that you give good hugs and thank you for being a presense for all of us fat webmasters everywhere so that when I told the one chick I needed a sleazydream sized shirt she knew what I meant and delivered the goods

Eroswebmaster, Skyboy and Sly - Thank's for sharing your table with us when we needed some shade and a gummybear moment.

Stephen from Xbiz and Dawn - Both highly intellegent people to sit and talk to and to show hand held device porn to over lunch ;)

Tofu - I saved the best for last. My partner in crime for the forum, we rarely left each other's side and yet I didn't get bored. The Rick James wig was too funny even if I had to fight to win you back from your gay fan base. New best friend? Works for me babe. You know I love you. (those of you that haven't heard of BBWradio beed to find out).

I know there are more that I am missing and I will feel crap about it later

Also, some moments/events stuck out in my mind as things that were either a lot of fun or will just plane stick with me for a while.

Rocky Horror - whoever thought to rent out the entire cinema for this is a brilliant person. I never thought I would have the balls as a BBW webmistress to put on a daring dress and dance in front of a room full of webmasters but not only did I do that but Don and myself yelled ourselves hoarse from knowing all the call back lines. The only thing I want to say sorry for is possibly belting Halcyon in the face with toliet paper ..I didn't know you were sitting behind us.

Drunken Ukulele Player at Rocky after party - well, that was different and entertaining for a few minutes.

T-shirt Bad Timing - Beware when you wear your T-shirt hell shirts folks. A certain European webmaster sitting at the table with myself, Tofu, MrIZZ, Juicy and AarronM learned said valuable lesson when Joan from the ASACP sat down with us and had rather obvious issues with the shirt that included the line 'I didn't know she was 3'. Painful comedy.

The leveling tool that is a Cholocate Fountain - The chocolate fountain at the first night of the show was the place to be if you wanted to see even the big boys in this industry turn into little kids. It was nice to briefly meet Jstyles there and congratulate him on his UK tv stardom ;)

Dodgeball - High entertainment even with the lawyer approved balls. Though, I have to say I got twitchy when I saw the woman that was holding her child out of the court side windows to watch the games, even when the lightspeed girls were naked. *grumble*

And finally - some of my favorite qoutes from the weekend.

Epoch person on State of the Industry panel 'Shit Happens'

Weird drunk and coughing guy at Rocky after party 'Do you like blueberry pancakes?'

Same weird drunk guy about two seconds later 'You are a biiiig girl. Do you like that?'

Tofu in reply to said question from weird pancake guy 'I do'.

    anyway..thanks everyone..it was a great trip

well..to he honest the sacrafice was a bit lame and far too lame for such a cool guy to lose his virginity. Next time I will say hi..it was sort of like 'okay, that guy is someone I really respect and I just smacked him in the head...maybe I should keep low' lol
