Looking for a driver for my video card...

... and I am not having any luck at all. I didn't think my card was that out of date.

I just bought Half Life 2 the other day and am experiencing flickering in parts of the maps. This is not the only game this happens with either, it seems to be most of them.

I have lowered the settings but still get that weird effect. I just went out and tried to find the latest driver for the card, but am not having any luck at all.

Until I get around to getting the latest and greatest graphics card (any recommendations?), I wanted to get the latest driver for this card I have now.

Here are the specs:

Name FIC AT009 RADEON 9000 PRO
PNP Device ID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4966&SUBSYS_9A001509&REV_01\4&B7E B302&0&0008
Adapter Type Radeon 9000 AGP Pro (0x4966), ATI Technologies Inc. compatible
Adapter Description FIC AT009 RADEON 9000 PRO
Adapter RAM 128.00 MB (134,217,728 bytes)
Installed Drivers ati2dvag.dll
Driver Version 5.1.2600.0
INF File oem2.inf (ati2mtag_RV250 section)

Memory Address 0xD0000000-0xDFFFFFFF
I/O Port 0x00009000-0x00009FFF
Memory Address 0xE1000000-0xE100FFFF
IRQ Channel IRQ 16
I/O Port 0x000003B0-0x000003BB
I/O Port 0x000003C0-0x000003DF
Memory Address 0xA0000-0xBFFFF
Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\ati2mtag.sys (6.14.10.6343, 611.25 KB (625,920 bytes), 4/28/2003 10:39 PM)

Any help would be appreciated!

You post so much here, yet you say so little. A postbot would be more clever that you are.

Thanks to you other guys. ATI was the first place I went, of course, but there doesn't seem to be the exact driver I am looking for there. I'm gonna try MrPheer's suggestion and try that one...

Radeon cards all use the same driver your search is a waste of time retard.

Not sure if you tried here Turbo, but they have tons of drivers & other apps.
I'm running a Radeon 9600xt with rage 3d tweak & have really good results with most games.

downloads

That remark there really shows what a computer whiz you are. An entire line of video cards, but only a single driver, eh?

Ironically, the first driver that I found during my search, that I thought would work, was the one I was looking for (thanks MrPheer).

Everything looks cool now. I still need to upgrade video cards though - Any suggestions? What's the latest and greatest?

X800 Pro Or at *least* a 9800 Pro, but IMHO, I would save then buy a X800

Which motherboard do you have? X800 is 8X AGP, it can work on 4X but why pay top bucks when you can't use it at is best?

And get a "made by ATI" not a FIC

The card I have now is AGP. That card looks wicked!

*Ignores JackOff*

This one here is the most popular card at TigerDirect right now.

There's a $50 rebate on it too. I might go for it.

Truth hurts eh? hehe OWNAGE!

Anyway I was just helping you.. The Nvidia is second to ATI in speed at the top but it is the better bang for the buck if you have one of those budget thingies..

I have one. It plays HL2 like a dream.

Keep in mind you need a decent box to run it on too, and more ram will help as well.

*Continuing to ignore JackOff*

I got a decent Fankenstien system here. 2.8MHz and 2GB RAM. It's not the latest stuff, but it's close enough. I have slots for another 2GB of memory and with how cheap memory is and has been, I'll probably throw some more in there soon. I think a new video card and some more RAM would be a decent upgrade ATM.
