Your ego has gotten WAY out of hand. Cybererotica had scrolling tours while you were still suckling your moms nipple. Aside from the old scrolling CE tours we had, Doug (Dougsden) came in and designed some very table and image heavy scrolling tours. DX then came in and made them look even better, improving conversions very well at the time.

I don't believe you were even heard of at that time. If memory serves me right, that was in 1997.

Todays effectivness of ad's and prmotional materials are all fucked up. I can see why an affliates program has to throw out 3/4 of its content inventory to get a sign up.

They might not be up to your "quality standards", but what's most important is that they sell. Being a good designer doesn't make anyone a great salesperson, galleries are about SALES, not about being the fanciest and the flashiest. My clients are fully aware of the quality of SALES my galleries can bring, and if they're making the money, it doesn't matter one little bit if they aren't "AlienQ" quality.

I do stand by my work. I know fully well how well my galleries do, and I have a ton of satisfied customers to prove that.

As for needing to do "better", I haven't even "officially" re-launched my site and I'm booked for weeks. I don't think that's an issue. As for you being bad for this business no, you do some great work. As you see I never ONCE bashed your designs, only your attitude. I think your ATTITUDE is bad for this business, I think your attitude sucks for life in general. I bet you are a nice guy, but you wouldn't know it from the way you drag everyone down, it looks like a pathetic attempt to build yourself up. Seems to me the only one who is having issues and making assumptions is you. I simply told you what Ithought about your behavior (especially in this thread), just like I tell people what I think all the time. I see no reason to dance on eggshells and mince words simply because you are some "godlike" designer. You could be king shit of turd hill, your designs may be the best in the world, but your attitude sucks.

I will stand by stating that I did more or less innovate the scrolling tour concept, well maybe I didnt do that entirelly but I stuck with the process even through the non-scrolling days when everyone thought that was the big rave. I did indeed give it purpose and strength over the years with the help of countless designers that caught on and yes its a copyfest now. Even I copy some people if there is an improvement or something I really like it about it.

All designers are guilty of doing so from time to time.

What I fail to see is the motivation for even SAYING something about it in this thread at all. Were you trying to pick a fight? Discredit this designer (who I think does good stuff and I think anyone who has work for him should give it to him!)? Make yourself look bigger? There's better ways to advertise yourself and your services. Coming in here throwing around accusations that are basically tantamount to accusing this guy of personally stealing your ideas certainly aren't furthering your own cause. I would think that someone as "successful" as you would have much better things to do than trolling in the "competition's" threads making nasty remarks. Talk about raining on a parade? Someone piss in your cornflakes or did your mother not hug you enough as a child?

How do you know I haven't been burned that bad? I've been in this business for 7 years, and I've been fucked right good and properly many times (even by the man himself, David Foote! Yay me).
