Yesterday I drove home drunk and almost wrecked my car!

I am an asshole. Any low blows directed towards me will be accepted in this thread... I was totally wasted and I drove home. I am never driving home drunk again.

It was wet outside and I didn't slow down enough to turn onto my street, so when I pushed the brakes I started aquaplanning and I ran into a divider in the street. Luckily I just hit it with my two tires. I though for sure I broke something, but it's all good.

not to say that i havn't done it before... but i am just thankfull i never got into that kind of situation...

I used to do shit like that when I was 21. that was 20 plus yrs ago. wake up. It sucks but you have got to give up drinking when you are the driver. I really value the very few damn times I can go someplace and drink. Like when I'm on vacation and drink at the hotel bar or shit like that. I just refuse to even consider what could happen if I was stupid enough to drink and drive now.

When I was 19 the cops would take away our beer and send us home when they caught us. Shit we would just regroup someplace else, buy more beer and keep the party going. Now your fckd if you get caught.

If I am going to get fkd by an insurance company it is going to be for what they want to insure a new z06 not for getting a drunk driving bust.

Okay I'll bite... I did the same thing when I was like 20... I was so drunk I didn't even know I was driving. I was alone so nobody stopped me. I hit a pole, smashed up the side of my car. Didn't realize till I saw the dent the next day and pieced it together.

It's a really stupid thing to do. I either leave my car home if I'm going to drink a lot, or limit myself to one drink per hour or two no matter what.
