The pope can't die, somebody will always be pope.

Sorry had to say it.

Pope John Paul II, the spiritual leader to more than 1 billion Catholics who spread his message worldwide in his 26-year papacy, has died, Vatican sources tell CNN. Details soon.

Not a Catholic, however, I've always been impressed by JPII. Of all the popes that have held office during my lifetime, John Paul II was truly my favorite.

My wife and her family here are all Catholics so I'm getting a first hand view of what his death means to a Catholic country and people.

Now, he's Karol, a fun-loving child in the Magic Kingdom. He truly earned it.

God bless him...I am so, so sad...but I know he is in a better place now...my he shine down upon us and intercess for us in our prayers...now we start the rebuilding phase of our lives, without him....let us hope that his successor is true to his Theology. God Bless JPII.

WTF ARE YOU SMOKING.

He's a symbol of the church, nothing more. He was elected, just like the next pope will be.

DO you think Jesus was elected at a meeting? The pope wasn't chosen by God. Church invented this concept where they name somebody the messanger of God.

It's bullshit. I SOOOOOOOOOOO understand Luther now.
