I've always figured if the Antichrist is an American it would be on a White House level (this is under the presumption that at the time the US is unchallenged as the world's superpower). Otherwise I think it would more likely to be someone in power of a multi-national organization (not necessarily U.N.) because of the "one world government" part of the foretelling.

His stuff is so cryptic it can be read into a million ways he has not predicted anything people just read into his cryptic stuff and make things up about what he MIGHT of been talking about. Just like listening to Queen's "Another one bites the dust" you won't hear anything but if someone tells you that there is a phrase "its fun to smoke mauarana" then you listen to it again you'll hear it.

Now this next theory is very interesting, and we should find out, probably within the next week or so, if the guy who came up with it is full of shit, or not.

Basically, he thinks the first "reign" of the Roman Catholic Church ended when Napoleon captured Pius VI and ended the papacy's political rule in Europe around 1798.

Then he takes all the pope's names after 1798 (The RCC's new "reign") and adds them up in a certain way. For instance, since 1798, there have been 7 names used by popes:

1. Pius
2. Leo
3. Gregory
4. Benedict
5. John
6. Paul
7. John Paul

Now all through the RCC's history, there have been 12 Pius's. He counts the first Pius with a 1. Pius II gets a 2. Pius III gets a 3, etc. Thus, 12 Pius's (Pius 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12) = 78

So according to him, the next pope will be number 666. But ONLY if he takes a name that hasn't been used before... He has to be the "1st", so that it can be counted as a "1" to equal 666.

I personally don't feel that this theory is particularly good, he really had to stretch for it, but if the next pope does pick a new name from all the others in the past, it will certainly make me go, Hmmmm.

A number of things are made clear in the bible, such as that the antichrist would reveal himself (i cant remember at what point). A number of intrepreters of nostradamus' writings believe that the antichrist is:

Bashar Al Assad (The current leader of Syria). Its not conclusive but there are a number of things to note about this guy:

(1) He changed his name to "Assad" (means Lion) from "Wahash" (which means "Beast"). He does come from the "Beast" family line - this is a fact.

(2) According to Nostradamus, he refers to the antichrist being the "prince of leo" and whether this has significance, I have no idea.

(3) Under the ghemetrian number language (significance?), Bashar Al Assad scores the number 666 exactly. In the bible, it says let he who was wisdom count the number of the beast, for it is a number of a name etc etc.

(4) Assad's country people are helping to bolster the insurgency in Iraq.

(5) He is an ally of the west - it is said that the antichrist would at first hide his identity and appear to be a friend of west and to help solve the worlds problems.

(6) He was born on September 11th (co-incidence?). Possibly, but there is a 1 in 365 chance of that happening...

(7) There are other factors that make him a prime candidate, you can find them if you seek the wisdom and read books written by interpreters of the prophecy of Nostradamus.

The connection would be the first Pope was St. Peter who was an apostle to Jesus.

OK for this person we have found a way to calcualte that ads up to 666 so we go with it, just like a minute ago we had a way of making the next pope 666 using another way of calculating it. All anyone does is find a way of of calculating the end number to 666, using what ever number fits the bill, weather its ancient abacus, old calandeers or even adding popes number together. With one calculation or another you can conect everyone in the world somehow to the number 666

See this is exactly the way these things start, we find a few similarites with someone to something and we find a few loose links, that actually point to nothing, read the post above about the popes numbers. Yes after someone points it out, it sounds slightly plausable, but the point is, these things are reverse engineered, in other words we have the finishing point and can find very loose links.

To answer your above question. out of the world leaders, yes probably 50% are allies of the west.

Outof world leaders in politics, religion, commerce etc etc, yes 1 in 365 were born on September the 11th. Also taking in to account that many where born on other days when other atrocities around the world in history happened.

With regards to the beast family line, Im sure if I looked into it, it either will be a very popular name where he comes from, or the translation wouldnt be exact. And anyway so what, he like millions of others have a translation of the word beast or animal as a name? So what, the bible wasnt even writen in English, so the actual word "beast" isnt even in it.

Yep, they did a program over here about unlocking the bible codes, I cant remember all about it, but using mathematical calculations, the bible shows all sorts of relevations, some have come true, some yet to come. They then picked a random book, I think it was "Pride & Predudice" The relevations that came out of that were amazing. Infact it showed things in even better and more acurate detail....It went to show that if you look hard enough you can make pretty much anything out of nothing. Now add in to that a bit of being vague and you have instant profecy

At the mid-point in the 7-year Tribulation, I belive. If I remember correctly, the first 3-1/2 years of the Tribulation period is supposed to be mostly wonderful, actually. The antichrist gets to be the Grand Poobah and everybody loves him, and he's supposed to solve all of the world's problems like energy problems and make world peace... right up until he goes into the new Jewish Temple at the mid-point and takes away the daily sacrifice and declares himself to be god. That's when the shit hits the fan and the really bad stuff of the Tribulation is supposed to happen.

I think that line speaks wonders... Just hearing the name of Jesus, for most citizens of Canada, and most chunk of Europe, and ESPECIALLY the Middle East, is hated.
