    designer wanting to enter industry

    hey guys, i was wondering if you guys could give me some advice...

    I'm a college student, with a background in design, and i'm trying to break into this industry doing some graphic/web work.

    I've done a little bit of work in this industry before, but not focused on the design aspect, so i have a good general knowledge... I've also got good graphic/web experience.


    My question is... I lack any real world experience in this industry -- How can someone break into this industry as a designer? (suggestions would be great)


    i'm working together building a portfolio, but its hard to doso when its just mock ups for non-existant sites... (a few examples are below) -- also, is there anywhere where i can get adult images to incorperate into my portfolio without paying for them, but legally being alowed to use them?

      i like them pretty clean and neat, just needs to be more alive seems dull add more colors maybe

          Participate in any contests. I don't do very much adult design anymore, but in the past I've landed a few good jobs from contests I didn't even win.

              I think giving away a few designs is a good way to get known and build your portfolio at the same time.

                  why don't you research some of the big design studios in the adult industry and see if you can do it.

                  adult designs are easier than mainstream for sure.

                              My advice is to find out more about what are people looking for....and how you will be recognizable....such as for example orchiddesigns.com ....

                              You must maximize your skills in both adult design and adult layout modeling (how much thumkbs, how big thumbs, where to place ads, how much toplists etc etc....)

                              Try investigating little more, testing etc....and you will get kick-ass product after few finished designs

                              For customers you can find big guys who are "godfathers" of this industry ... who have many sites ... and who want to give U a chance....

                              Try to find them here, give them what you have to offer, give them good price....place small text on bottom of each page you design...just don't look at money, look at recognizable name at start and you will start earning very soon!
