is there a Javascript that can tell me how many times...
is there a Javascript that can tell me how many times my "Bookmark This Site" button has been clicked?
It's a form button, not an image or a link, but I can change it to whatever to be able to get the script to work. It would be really helpful to me to know this info so I can tell what types of promotion will bring the most bookmarkers and the best traffic. |

have it send an email to you every time someone clicks it, I'm sure you could modify a free script out there to do it.

Not in JavaScript, but this can be done in PHP fairly easily.

Hmmm these are good ideas.
Unfortunately I don't know anything about php. The page is generated by Autogallery pro but it's an .html page, not a .php or .shtml page. But since it's generated by AGP will the php rendering engine work on it? |

Use one of the free remote hosted page counters and make a call to it within the bookmark code

Maybe you can use a free trade script like cjultra. That had a feature you can see how many times a link has been clicked. only you'll lose 1% of the bookmarks.....

just use a favicon and then everytime a surfer clicks the bookmark button that icon is requested.
then simply check your server stats how often it was requested and you know how many times the button was clicked Duke |

Marcus, I thought this was a good idea and some people might like it, so I wrote a little PHP script to count each time the bookmark button is clicked. It's very basic but it works okay:
