50 Cent is now a character and an entity. He's successful and popular amongst teens, tweens and young adults. They are catering to the masses who fuel the fire of commerce.

I'm sure that he's got a morality clause in his contract that will let Reebok out if he's involved in a scandal.

BuggyG is on the money. Many won't buy solely off of this campaign, it may even turn some loyal customers away but ultimately any scandal or controversy arising from 50 Cent the character will have an effect on Reebok. I bet that they will get more marketing value off of the association than with him in cheesey 30 second spots.

This shouldn't come as a big shock. What company doesn't want 50 cent on their side right now? The buzz is nuts. The number of new customers they'll get will by far outnumber the ones leaving.
