Basically I want to get a general opinion on which design companies do very good work but don't charge an arm and a leg. I have about a month before starting to develop the 2 sites I have in mind - so , right now just fishing for the right company. As far as budget is concerned, I know that you get what you pay for, but I like to know that I am getting good work done for a fair price.

I've been known to cut deals on stuff that would make me eat my own words here... but if someone isn't willing to even inquire, there's not much I can do....
