Almost all other queries are fucked in one way or another as well. Most return no more than 700 results, but some are like "milf pics" and "yahoo", less than 100 :) Interesting stuff

Results 871 - 876 of about 153,000,000 for men. (0.45 seconds)
In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 876 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included. I got up to 876 results for MEN before there were no more. |

Try to jump to page 10. Then again, it's possible that some users will not be affected

Well, this is my take on the whole situation...
It seems from the results I'm looking at that google is clustering the first 1000 results together. The first 1000 relevant results have tons of hits within the same domain/subdomains and its removing more than 2 results per domain and as a result a lot of listings fall out from the original 1000. That would be my guess since this is occuring on all keywords uniformly and not just something specific to one term or genre. For example, doing a search for "anime" or "sports" or even most mainstream keywords, almost no keyword has more than 800 actual results shown. And I don't think this is new either either since I've seen the milf result being clustered like this for months now. Most people simply don't go past page 3-4 when there's 10 results per page, let alone 100 results per page. WG |
They are being nice to me again :thumbsup

Just as an example, the keyword "Yahoo" only shows 49 results even though there's
over 294MM results total. What I think is happening, is that Google always returns 1000 results (assuming at least 1000 are available). It then removes all instances from the 1000 which have more than 2 results on the same domain and as a result the actual results drop significantly at times. Like for yahoo, unfiltered results are all on the same set of domain/sub-domains: http://www.google.ca/search?num=100&...meta=&filter=0 WG |
I agree with Wired Guy. If you are that far back in the line, forget about it anyway. No one is going click past 1,000 links. 99% don't click past the first 1 to 4 pages from my experience.
