thats what i mean - i can read sheet music, but tablature is chinese to me ... if you spend the time learning tab, why not sheet? im not putting anyone down, i just dont see the difference ... and it doesnt really matter if you just want to jam tunes i guess ... so rock on

I'm just the opposite. I can read tab just fine, it's sheet music that reads like chinese calligraphy from the 4th century.

I can read both, but I prefer tabs, a lot faster than reading sheet. In my opinion anyway.

I can read both sheet music and tablature, but aside from accents and note lengths (which newer tab software allows you to add!) I find that tab is way easier to read and learn, ecspecially when it comes to reading chords.

True and that's why sheet music is superior to tab.

Tab is easier to read and learn, especially for guitar hacks like myself but it teaches you nothing about music
