Memory Question

I don't know much about computer hardware, so here is the question... I'm about to buy a PC that comes with 512 MB Ram, now. from a PC I bough last year that burned, I extracted some memory that says the following on the label

-512MB PC2100 NONECC DDR - Date Code 091202

now the pc I'm about to buy says the following for memory on the "Available Accessories"

-HP Memory - 128 MB - DDR - 333 MHz / PC2700 DC338A
-HP Memory - 128 MB - DDR - 400 MHz / PC3200 DE465A
-HP Memory - 256 MB - DDR - 400 MHz / PC3200 DE466A
-HP Memory - 512 MB - DDR - 333 MHz / PC2700 - CL2.5 - non-ECC DC340A
-HP Memory - 512 MB - DIMM 184-pin - DDR - 400 MHz / PC3200 - non-ECC

Is the memory I have (512MB PC2100 NONECC DDR - Date Code 091202) compatable with this PC I'm about to buy?

not really, if you want to use the 512MB PC2100 on your new pc, you'd have to slow your new pc down in the BIOS, which kind of defeats the purpose of buying a new PC

Don't go with HP please! What's your budget? What do you want to do with it?

You have a monitor? or you have to get one with the new computer? You should check Dell instead of HP

I have two monitors, I'm going with HP cuz I'm trying to get intel P4 3.0 + 800 FSB and hopefully 1G of Ram ... with Dell that will cost me 1200+ or so
