If you have ever been close to death, real or imagined, then you know that your life isn't something that you want to give up so easily.
Many people will say that they don't want to live that way... until something happens...
From the Fox News Interview:
She's not in a coma. She's reactive. She's responsive. She smiles. She giggles. She tries to talk. And today she was actually talking as much as she could to our attorney, Barbara Weller (search ). And she spoke out. She yelled out when Barbara asked her to. And even the policeman standing outside the door heard her.

The body is shot... the mind and soul live on.
My choices are some reporter from Fox
Or 20 (19?) judges who have every fact in front of them... her husband.... most of the medics that have looked after her for the last 15 years (yes, before you go hunting the net, this is a fact)....., and 75% of the US popultion

Have you got nothing better to do than troll around the boards making the EXACT SAME posts?
Lifer, there have been many misinformed stories about TS condition. The people who want to create some sort of compassion have spent their time going to news agencies claiming all sorts of things about TS, including that she is talking, laughing, and basically alive. The way you present the quote (in a Fox news interview) makes it sound like Fox news has said that she is this or that. Far from the truth, some whackjob got interviewed and said it! Why not attribute the quote correctly? I know why, because it would show that the person speaking was motivated by something other than honesty.
Truth of the matter is, she isn't alive, and hasn't been for 15 years. She has, according to doctors (not someone desperate for good things to happen) little or no brain function at this point, and it is NOT GETTING BETTER. Doctors and her husband both have been trying for a long time to get the feeding tube turned off so that the body can join the mind and spirit in the after life (whatever that might be, if it exists).
If she could laugh, talk and such, don't you think that this would be a different discussion? She can't, it ain't, and 30+ judges have ALL ruled the same way, even in some of the most conservative courts in the land.

Here's your problem, Lifer: FOX NEWS. Actually, it's your problem, and a ton of other peoples' problems, too.
Question: why doesn't her parents or someone just have her 'move' to another state and try again there?

Benc, it was turned down in CONSERVATIVE altanta... 11th circuit. Now the supreme court (wildly liberal and 100% democrat) has refused to hear the case.
The only people on their side are the Bush family and a few other nutjobs. The level of disinformation coming out about the girls condition is shocking.
Why didn't the parents move her? Because her husband is her legal guardian. The parents have very few rights in this case to start with.

Don't believe the hype, right?
Alex
Thanks Alex for bringing REALITY back into this thread. There is NO hope of recovery, let her and her family bring this all to closure so they can all move on.
You just posted the same shit on AWI last night and got a very similar response. Why are you on adult webmaster boards? Shouldn't you be in church or something?
