I'll never donate money to charity again ever

Last year I donated over $1,300 to charities. Legit charities like Doctors without borders and Make a wish foundation. Figuring I'll get the deduction on my taxes.

I get my taxes done today and cant deduct them because I gave as myself and not under my company. Something about my taxes being on schedule c and charities going under schedule a. I had no idea, I just figure you give and you get the deduction. So now I get no credit for it or anything.

Never again. I am my own charity now.

I would not stop doing it. and keep in mind the kids aren't the ones that phucked you over it was uncle sam and the tax laws. Why blame or take it out on charities that soo need your help.

However, I thought even people could donate and take it as a tax deduction. I think I would do some reading on that on the irs website.

Sounds like you gave for the wrong reason.
