Since it seems to a good arguing point around guardianship.
Assume a patient was in such a condition, divorced, no living will, 2 kids and two living parents.

Parents want patient alive, kids want them removed from support.
Or lets make it worse, 1 of each votes one way.

Who should have the choice then?
Parents are always your parents right, and kids will always be your kids.

Why not? Should he have the chance? Why are there no videos since 2002? Why does the husband have more say than the doctors for her rehabilitation? Why did it take this fucker 7 years to remember she didn't want to live like this? If it looks like bullshit and smells like bullshit and came from a bull ass then it's bullshit.

couldn't even guess on that one. if any good comes of this whole case, a bunch of people will be filling out living wills and medial powers of attorney.

he's her guardian. whether its wrong or right, that's the way it is. who knows what's going on in her husbands mind right now. he could be a biggest prick in the world or be the nicest guy in the world. you don't know for sure and neither do i. i just know that everyone should only be thinking about one person right now. mrs. schiavo.
and don't you find it strange that, only now, does a doctor, appointed by the state of florida, whose governor is the brother of the republican president, come forward saying that she's not in a persistent vegetative state, but a little conscious. How many doctors have given their opinions? TONS! And yet just one thinks this way.

Of course it is not the case. The case is the Husband is the guardian but that does not matter to you, so I gave a hypothetical choice for you.
Make the kids in my question adults, now tell me.

I don't think he is the only doctor to feel that way. He just happens to be the one that wasn't hired by the husband or by the Parents. There have been other doctors to say she is not brain dead. And if we are suppose to be worried about Mrs. Schiavo should we leave her fate to him regardless of not knowing whats goin on in his head. He denied her rehabilitation. Actions speak louder than words and his actions haven't given her even a chance to rehabilitate.

And everyone who says that she is dead already because of damage to her brain should look up the story of the guy who got half of his head blown off with a 357 and graduated from college with honors and half a brain.

that's the way it is. he is her guardian.
she will not be graduating with honors anytime soon:

The cerebrum or cortex is the largest part of the human brain, associated with higher brain function such as thought and action. The cerebral cortex is divided into four sections, called "lobes": the frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe.
What do each of these lobes do?

* Frontal Lobe- associated with reasoning, planning, parts of speech, movement, emotions, and problem solving
* Parietal Lobe- associated with movement, orientation, recognition, perception of stimuli
* Occipital Lobe- associated with visual processing
* Temporal Lobe- associated with perception and recognition of auditory stimuli, memory, and speech

HER CEREBRAL CORTEX IS LIQUIFIED....NOT THERE....REPLACED WITH SPINAL FLUID. THEREFORE SHE CANNOT DO ANY OF THE ABOVE.

The way it is is her "guardian" never gave her the chance to rehabilitate . So we won't know if she could have ever graduated with honors. And We don't entirely know what the cerebral cortex does. You think that just because Science says this is what it is that thats what it is ? Come on. They don't know that much about the brain. They do no that we only use 30% of the brain. They don't know if the other 70% can do what the other 30% already does. Now i'm not a scientist but i do know what a smile looks like and it looks like she smiled to me.

Oh yea and if you think the guy with half a brain that graduated from college wasn't diagnosed brain dead also you should look up the story.

Brain imaging research techniques such as PET scans (positron emission tomography) and fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) clearly show that the vast majority of the brain does not lie fallow. Indeed, although certain minor functions may use only a small part of the brain at one time, any sufficiently complex set of activities or thought patterns will indeed use many parts of the brain. Just as people don't use all of their muscle groups at one time, they also don't use all of their brain at once. For any given activity, such as eating, watching television, making love, or reading Skeptical Inquirer, you may use a few specific parts of your brain. Over the course of a whole day, however, just about all of the brain is used at one time or another.

The myth presupposes an extreme localization of functions in the brain. If the "used" or "necessary" parts of the brain were scattered all around the organ, that would imply that much of the brain is in fact necessary. But the myth implies that the "used" part of the brain is a discrete area, and the "unused" part is like an appendix or tonsil, taking up space but essentially unnecessary. But if all those parts of the brain are unused, removal or damage to the "unused" part of the brain should be minor or unnoticed. Yet people who have suffered head trauma, a stroke, or other brain injury are frequently severely impaired. Have you ever heard a doctor say, ". . . But luckily when that bullet entered his skull, it only damaged the 90 percent of his brain he didn't use"? Of course not

well we can only go on what science has told us about the cerebral cortex.
i didn't say he wasn't diagnosed brain dead....i'm saying that her cerebral cortex which is most of her brain, is gone. liquified.

Ok now they are adults so now her Parents come forward and say they heard her say that she didn't want to have the "plug pulled" so now through hear say she lives right? Or better yet her parents come forward and say they heard her say " don't pull the plug" and her children come forward and say they heard her say " pull the plug" So now what happens? This is stupid and could go on and on.

You should read these first then tell me she doesn't stand a chance. I wish i could find the story of the guy with half a brain graduating from college with honors but it was an old story. If I find it I will post it. But obviously he isn't the only person who survived with half of thier brain being liquid.

I do not doubt the story about the guy with half a brain, or people living with severe brain damage and so on. Point is, it is not our choice it is the husbands.

And my point is if he was so loving and cared so much for her. Why did he deny her a chance to rehabilitate? And if he doesn't have her well being in mind then should he be making that decision ?
