I already see it getting better. All these tgps folding and or selling. People leaving this business because they are not making any money. Let the newbies come, let them be proud of their 300k uniques a day to their gallery. Let them be proud that they get 1 signups a day from their precious Hun listing. You have all successfuly shot yourselves in the foot, congratulations.

Tgps will become even less profitable than they are now forcing tgp webmasters to give blowjobs for extra change. And rightfully so.

Gallery ratios will plummet to 1:300,000

FTC will further crack down on dialers hopefully handing out massive fines to these crooks.

Increase in shit traffic will force even more shaving on behalf of programs.

This industry will bottom out soon and it cannot happen soon enough.

Some of you will not be here next year. Bye.

hard to do, we've given surfers no reason to keep buying porn...I'm just as guilty as I'm a TGPer (ok, not much lately) but we give them everything for free....pictures, movies, etc. what else to offer? live shows, but most people will be totally happy with all the free shit we give them...one market I see expanding is foreign language websites, but even those...it'll be niche marketing and could become difficult as far as payouts...
see, it used to be a bit more difficult to get a free porn fix...you had to know newsgroups and/or IRC chat and know where to go...took a bit more tech savvy...nowadays, average joe knob polisher can fire up his webtv and jerk off to the Hun for hours...never spending a dime and can find porn within a click or two...

2002 will be a thinning of the herd, but I also see it as make or break for a lot of companies...a fresh newbie walking off the street is fucked...the bigger companies are faced with tighter margins and have payroll...so they are going to have to trim some fat...smaller companies that have little financial backing will be hit hard as they'll get manhandled by desperate bigger companies...medium sized companies with enough capital can start making their mark and become tomorrow's porn leaders...medium sized companies with smaller capital will be either bought up by larger companies or squeezed out altogether....

I forsee 2002 as a year when more people work together on projects (for example a talented graphcis guy starts working joint deals with a good programmer and vice vrsa) (This already happens to an extent, but I think it'll be more common.)

We'll also see the death of instant account activation signups for webmaster programs, as quality traffic becomes more of a premium, we'll see it go to almost all private deals and personal recomendations. We've already seen a lot of it happen this year and the trend will continue...we'll also see the bigger companies hiring full staffs of developers to do nothing but generate feeder sites in-house for a fixed rate (already happening, but will increase and continue)

but you never know...

well the non-adult "thinning of the herd" has already happened with the major dot-coms going down and few surviving, it's easy to say that TGP's will fall and many people might just buy the domain and forward it to thier already stable TGP. but how would this affect paysites is the real question.

if a couple hundred sponsers fall maybe it will discourage many people but as far as the people with expierience i don't think that they would run because the know the potential for money in this market.

There has been alot of bad things going around ever since the major tech sector downfall, but it might just bounce like the auto market. sure Dolrian died but will Ford? Maybe the yugo crumbled but did BMW? and just recently oldsmodile is about to be killed will chevy follow?

Now apply these terms to our market and decide if you want to stay, the potential is still great, you just have to know where to go, what to do, ect...

maybe those are the questions that you need to be asking yourselves.

it's hard to say, mainly the sponsers like ARS, lightspeed, posible even securelink.
I think of the TGP's everyone has out now as part thats the major companies need to complete thier product, like al4a would be the guy who make the steering wheels, thehun could be the steel provider, ect......

the gallery builders would be the people providing them with services, like plastic iron ore, whatever....

the models i tend to think of them as the marketing people in the business, the people that make you want to buy that car.

it's just a rough draft hopefully you guys understand what i mean. It all comes down to where you fit in here.

lets just hope one of us doesn't turn into FireStone!!!
