Dialers are contributing to the cause in goverments cracking down on us?

Utter nonesense! Dialer networks like us, Telcoweb, and GIB clearly state the price of the call and charge the user the same amount as a phonesex call.

Most dialers use 900 numbers for their U.S. routes which have been regulated by the FTC for quite some time.

Yes there are some dialer networks that don't play by the rules, and do sleazy things like say billing an international call onto a toll free 800 number or short stopping the call, but for the most part most networks play by the rules.

Credit card billing went through the same kind of cycle. Remember XPICS? How about Crescent Publishing?

Dialers are here to stay, and they will only get bigger.

Even a big TGP owner who shall remain nameless is starting his own dialer network.

Everybody knows that 95% of the people won't read the "terms" and there are tons of surfers that don't even understand english.

Do you really think that if a surfer spends 20min. on a pornsite for like 4 up the $8!!!! a min. would ever visit a paysite or even sign-up or anything like it?

First of all. Most dialers don't charge $8 dollars a minute.

The cost of the call varies from $1.50 to $3.99 per minute depending on what country they're calling from for our dialer.

To call and talk with "Miss Cleo" it costs $4.99 per minute.

Believe it or not most surfers do realize the cost of the call. They email or call us asking questions sometimes, and every single one of them realized that the dialer cost money.

Ifriends.com charges $2.99 + per minute to the user's credit card, why should this be any different? Is ifriends a scam too?

Well put Candid. I agree with you 100% on this one.

When the guy has his dick out wether it's Ifriends or a Dialer he WILL pay. He knows the cost and he's willing to pay. Yes there's deceptive practices going on, and you guys have the right to bitch and moan about them.

Dialers are here to stay. If the surfer doesn't want to pay fine he can call up his phone company and issue a chargeback it's as simple as that.
