You better have DEEP pockets, a decent 100K tgp with a history sells for quite some money!

With an established site you'll have more bookmarkers to carry you along if you stuff up trading, but you'll definitely be paying a premium for that.

You can have a 100k site built for about $2k. If you go on the 3 months income rule for an established site then you're looking at $6k+ (in my experience... of course it could be a shitty traffic pump that makes 1 sale per day)

Just curious what the average 100k a day TGP makes? I'm just wondering so I have an idea of how good or bad mine are doing

Rowan by your $6k for 3 months rule are you saying the average 100k TGP only makes $2k a month?

Mine was a conservative estimate, note the "+" after the $6k

I only do teen but I'm sure that people who do more nichey stuff easily make 2-3 times what I do.

Personally I don't think I would ever sell an established TGP unless I wanted to get out of the adult world, or needed fast cash for some reason. Apart from checking new trades and occasionally adding new hosted gals to the pool my sites basically run themselves.

thanks for the replies...

i know its not going to be a walk in the park, and yes i realize i can loose the money i invest (as there is no gaurenteed investment) so you guys think that i should get a site built from the ground up instead of investing it in buying an established tgp?

How long does a site need to be online before it's considered established? Or does established mean more than just being online for a specific period of time?

established means .... well... established... think of it like a restaurant.... if its been open for 3 months and has been doing good for the 3 months... doesn't mean its established.... its too early to tell.....

when I think of established sites, I think of persiankitty.com, boneprone.com, thumbzilla.com etc

maybe he was referring to something else

How about a site doing consistently over 100k for a year. Would that be considered established? I'm just curious to know about when people gernerally think a site becomes established. Good info for buyers and sellers.

Exactly. Why would anyone want to sell a site for 3 months profit if he can just let it run for another 3 months and then let it die. Or just redirect all the traffic. It's probably going to make more money anyway

Exactly, i have 3 teen thumb preview TGP's with about 400k/day in traffic across them. I can't imagine selling them, not for 6 months profit or even 12. Once your TGP is good enough size, the work load decreases.

If you have <24 hours downtime, you'll bounce back in a few days. Got a new sponsor out, spam the hell out of it the first week or two and beat the submitter rush.

I can certainly understand why vas wants to buy one, but you'll find the majority of established TGP owners won't sell. You're going to end up being contacted by people with unstable insignificant 404 fed sites or the like.

Personally, I would suggest moving into something new and getting in on the ground floor of an idea that isn't so saturated. Blogs for example, though that is quickly becoming saturated.

And, at the risk of high jacking your thread, if anyone has a 50k/day TGP that they want to sell (since that's under the 100k that vas wants), feel free to hit me up, I'll take a look. ICQ 206-206-206

oh and by established i ment that it has some bookmarkers, not feeder traffic, and pretty stable traffic.. sites like pk and bp would probably sell for astronomical numbers
