Over the past year, I've found some of my models through onemodelplace, and i've also placed ads in local college papers.

Had success in both places, but the quality of model -- and eagerness to go far enough -- vary by model.

Q: Where should I be looking for new explicit nude models?

I don't need hardcore fucking-sucking -- just explicit nude, solo and toys.

That is, where would you concentrate your recruitment dollars in an under-served market like mine?

Should I just use a Philadelphia/New York agency and fork over the dough?

Or shoot new, young models who don't know any better?

Newspaper ads are good but take alot of time to weed through the applicants. Online chat boards are great cause alot of them let everyone post pictures. Strip clubs are good, but be carefull not to step on toes without asking permission. Give finders fees when someone refers you a model, word of mouth is your best advertising.

Once you have booked a model, the single most important thing that I would emphasize is paperwork - make sure that you have a signed model release and that the first frame in your camera (still/video) is the model holding her ID proving her age.

Don't be rude and you wont get slapped. But if you open yourself up... you should try to give decent answers.

He said he was going to talk about model recruitment. I happen to own dormangels so I've done a little bit of it....but it's always cool to share some lessons and tips/tricks.

So I wanted to get a feel for how he does his model recruitment... word of mouth, ads, online scouting, etc.... asked for his %'s ... i was going to do a follow up ... once he told us all how he tends to find his models. and the answers were ...

% that you approach on the street. (100% of the ones interested)
% that respond to ads (he doesn't really advertise)
% that you solicit online/email (whenever i have time)
% that email you from your sites (a bunch, no real numbers)

Scout 24-7 depending on what works best for you. There is no rule of thumb except that whenever you don't scout - you miss those girls as models 100% of the time.
