It seem like at least once a month now (and a few years ago this was rare) people are posting that theyre getting porn spam at their webmaster addresses which were only used for affiliate programs, sometimes at addresses used only once for one specific program and were never publicly posted.

So, just a friendly reminder to those of us who run 4free style sites, paysites, and legit optin email newsletters - ADD SOME FAKE ADDRESSES TO YOUR DATABASE.

Create a couple hotmail accounts, never post the addresses publicly, and check them occasionally.

We need to make sure anyone whos buying these databases gets screwed in the long run

I get tons of porn spam on my main email I give to sponsors. I can't believe that anyone would bother spamming a webmaster list. That would have to be the lowest converting list ever. Most of us have free access to several big paysites so why the hell would we sign up for one? My only guess is it's malicious and intended to be an annoyance.

The email list was probably resold to spammers as-is in bulk, hence the untargeted pron spam.
