Question for all you money making Webmasters???

Are you guys all banking in from name brands like Hustler and Playboy.
You would think with those name brands its a no brainer.

Do you see your conversions better then your normal adult sites?

Just Curious.

I have been checking out Hustlers new products and they have been busy. Great sites, I am loving their new personals site.

I think like anything you have to learn how to market to the right end user.....

I know all the bigger brands we are in biz with are starting to really take a much closer look at the interent divisions as technology becomes an even bigger of the long term picture in the distribution of pics, vids, and even text.

I would expect (as i alwys have) that when the big brands get focused internally on how to maximize the opportunity online we will see some extraordianry growth and opportunity

it is just the way business works....the $trong survive and lead

missing the whole equation really and the question is kind of naive imho although i know you have been around a while.

if one filters people looking for vivid or hustler etc. to vivid or hustler etc. then it is a no-brainer. are you somehow suggesting that people take all generic traffic and send it at name brands only? official sites of studios only?

or is this another rhetorical question a la raffi et al .... not that there is anything wrong with that

You are always going to convert better with the site you put the most effort in. That has been proven with us in the last 9 years. I do think the name branding does help.

no not at all..... use the brands to.......market to the niche....if anything what im saying is that the big brands need to get a little niche oriented

with the right knid of marketing to niches that are not covered you are able to meet the needs of the consumer with what they are looking for and there is a brand that is easy to remember and seem a little more on the up and up.....LOLOL...i actually think it is naive to not think they can take a chunk of the pie

when the sleeping bears awake they will find success in any area they want

If their sites were sharpened up & promoted properly, they'll do exceptionally well and obviously have a distinct advantage over non branded products. Just "relying" on the name alone won't work.

There's nothing naive about the question - I find it fuckin' interesting actually...someone should take the brand and actually adapt it to the net in a more aggressive way.

I'm sure you're right

That gets this thread off track tho...branding is an interesting topic. The ability to carry a brand from traditional media to the net and vice versa is something that isn't really explored much, which is a shame.

consolidation is another possibility relative here too -- forward-looking of course

sort of like when there were a gazzillion little mom and pop isp's to buy dial-up from and all anyone cared about was how many dialup numbers they had distributed throughout the world so you could travel and still connect.

there are not too many of those mom and pop isp's anymore - just earthlink

it's all comcast, verizon sbc, etc...

bahh, playboy is being outdone in it's own niche (glam nudes) online, just look at sites like:
http://www.met-art.com/new.html
http://errotica-archives.com/

Playboy might have a better design but my traffic always tells me better content is still king..

And hustler, well if they made a site that was more like a magazine with some good writing and truly taseless pics, might sell better, but again they are being way the fuck out done in the hardcore niche by many people on this board.

So my educated answer is... no and no Dave, and

CONTENT IS KING

I think you need some good traffic and great content. I agree, and I also agree if it was more like their magazine they would sell much more because that is the reason we all buy their magazine. They always have the best content and craziest shit that nobody else has.

Well said Gleem.

For me own converts better than hust or play... but advertising at some hustler´s country specific sites is a gold. So...
