Brand new spamming technique (I think)
"One troublesome technique finding favor with spammers involves sending mass mailings in the middle of the night from a domain that has not yet been registered. After the mailings go out, the spammer registers the domain early the next morning."
ok. it might be an old one but first time I read about it yesterday... A bit confused though, why exactly are they doing it this way? Any comments, insights.... ;) |

If that was the reason, you can register 100 domains, and use them one by one. Why do you have to mail and THEN register the domain couple of hours later? |

What is the difference, you have a domain that hase never been used, never been hosted on a blacklisted host, why not use that domain? Why do you have to register the domain AFTER the mailing is out ??? |

Email systems continue trying to send for like 5 days in the normal setup, so like you register it later, you get all the mails delivered and the people who are spying on the bulk at first get NO info whatsoever to make complaints or get the domain name into spam lists... Thus the next day the emails are going to be delivered once the person sets up the domain. because they have ALREADY BEEN INJECTED into isp's mail queues they are going to be delivered,
by not being registered it has no mx record, so the ISP is holding it going hrmph wierd.... wierd... wierd... |
