If You Think Jay Leno If Funny, You Have NO Sense of Humor!!!

I can't believe what a cultural icon Jay Leno has become. He is the most boring and lame talk show host in the history of Entertainment. It just goes to show how low
the bar is in terms of American Entertainment.

If someone can appreciate humor than you cannot - while at the same time appreciating the same humor that you do, by definition, wouldn't they have a _broader_ sense of humor than you?

I'm not saying I'm a huge fan myself (though his writers do give him a zinger or two still), but there's no accounting for taste.

I've seen him have Jennifer Love Hewitt on several times and he LOVES to laugh at her real life embarassments. Loves it, loves it, loves it.

Also seen him with that chick who played the stupid girl on Friends and she was telling a horrible story of her fiance's house in France burning to the ground, and he was laughing his ass off at some single stupid thing (no DOUBT the reason he asked her to tell the story).

Also saw Sally Field on there telling a story of an African Safari where she was in a hot air balloon and it crash landed and she fucked up her leg.. Jay was rolling in laughter because of 1 stupid thing yet again. Again, no doubt thats why he asked her for that story.

His monologues can be great. He is funny as hell standing up.
I loved when he used to go on Letterman and do his "whats my beef" segments with Dave. He shines as a stand up comic, and he knows it. His desk work kinda blows though, and his extreme lisp is annoying after 5 minutes.

Thats my beef.

If you think everyone should think the same as you, then you have no sense at all.

Agreed. Letterman, Conan, Kimmel and even Ferguson are all better.

So thinking someone is funny means I have no sense of humor? Yeh... that makes sense.

I like Jay Leno

I like his humor

I like the way his marriage has lasted

I like the way he had his star on Hollywood Blvd placed right
where he was arrested for vagrancy when he first came to Hollywood so
he would always remember how far he has come

I like his car collection and the way he shares it with others

I like it when he goes out of his way and gets something special for his guests
because he knows they would enjoy it.

I like the way when a guest tries to talk about Jay and he graciously turns the
conversation back about his guest.

I like the way he has been in show business for so long and remains relatively unscathed
by all the BS that comes with show business.

I like the way he gives to charity

I like the way he is truly appreciative of the comedians before him and the way they created
opportunities for him.

Jay Leno deserves to be a cultural icon as much or more than anyone else

Oh, and I like the way when he is having an off night I can switch it over to letterman

Surely you know that his writers hand him his material every day. They write about what the average viewer wants to hear. Jay's graduated to the point of hiring other people to be funny for him. He's too busy driving his godly collection of cars to be bothered writing his own material. I have to admire that.
