I don't have my car for streetraces, but because I've been a big fan of it for quite a few years now, and I love being able to drive fast every now and then..
I think most people are scared to race me, but, when people stand next to me and want to race, most of the times I don't even respond and just drive along slowly.. I don't really like streetracing to be honest.. |

Well like said before:
You can spend 30k on a fucking civic and pull faster than a corvette but its still a fuckin civic. And civic's are pathetic, no matter how fast. *replace civic with any riced up import crap. |
I think street racing is stupid but that vette was amazing
|
I can't help but laugh when I see a little excel rice burner with all the body kit, spoiler and milo tin accessories. I saw an excel the other day with two milo tins, like it had a v8 or something, hilarious. And 2 big air intakes on the bonnet. Some people really crack me up.
|
Not all tuned imports are ricers people. Yeah a tuned civic or supra etc are still the same cars bodies but thats the whole point. You can buy a cheap car and make it run like a champ maybe do an engine swap and its fu nto do it. In the end your car including mods might cost as much as a vette does. Anyway its fun to have a sleeper.

good point franck BUT: it is possible that you win with a ricer against a lingenfelter corvette. |

I got a straight axled 90 Mustang GT on steroids (Factory Alumhead Motorsport motor and many goodies... - 380hp to rear wheels - AZ Plates no cats - Tubelar crossmember, subframes, Arms - Big Cobra Brakes) that will outlaunch, outrun, outcorner and outstop 98.5% of AWD Foreign Cars.... That Talon looked fast... no doubt .. and a ZO6 or Lingfelter will eat me as well... but I have 33,550 miles on My stang since I built it 3 yrs ago.. and I dont baby it... you cant .. it does not know how to go slow... I drive it often to work across LA freeways and in stop and go traffic with the AC on in the summer... and I get about 17mpg average.. and less than 20k invested... Aint nuthin like Cubic Inches.... The ricer had a good pull at the start. not bad, but the vette still owned him :)

Don't knock 4wd turbo cars that actually have grip in corners :) That being said, I have a 1.2 liter fwd renault clio and I'm probably not one to talk. (even though I probably paid more for that than you would for evo):) |
ricers? hmmm fuck off
|

then you're still driving a ricer.. |

at least they recognised that they got owned.

Define a "ricer"
My Supra is hardly a ricer, and with 514 rear wheel horsepower on pump gas, will stomp nearly any production car on the road. Running on race gas the car is just plain silly at nearly 700 to the wheels. That's 800 horsepower at the motor! Right now I'm getting the TRD widebody kit put on it. It will look pretty much the same but be several inches wider all around. Why you ask? Not just for looks, but to fit these bad boys on so I can have some traction: http://www.pinnaclevideos.com/carstuff/tires.jpg 345/30/18 drag radials! |

Those cars are the slowest piles of shxt on the road! Well, not the slowest, but one of the slowest cars you'll find next to a diesel with a "turbo" badge on it. :) |

LMAO! That is one of the funniest comments I have heard in a long time! :1orglaugh |

I'm not big in to cars like I used to be. I've rediscovered my love of sport bikes and I sold my Corvette last summer. All I'm saying is don't discount American Sportscars as being competitive. Remember where the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo will come from. The Viper and the C6 Z06 are also bad ass sports cars that really handle. There's plenty of C5 Vettes running around with as much power as single turbo Supras and laying down amazing numbers. Try to remember that making fun of somebody with $100 worth of mods on their mom's DX Civic is not the same thing as saying Japan doesn't make some fast cars. |

I am and always will be a ferrari fan .. but the 360 modena really isn't that fast for today's standards (it's got a 0-60 of like 4.5 seconds). I mean - it's fast as hell, but there are a number of stock cars that can give them a run for their money now ... the new m3s and late model M roadsters (the 315 HP version), mustang svt, a lot of corvettes..., an assload of lower end porsches (carrera's and such), I don't think it's that far out of line to think that a car, such as a lancer evo, or wrx sti, with a stock 0-60 of very low 5's could be modified to take another 1/2 second off the 0-60 time. But ... there's no doubt in my mind which car would be better to own .. for sooooo many reasons. |
