Actually sigalert.com will send you messages to your cell phone with all that on there, when I used to run to the Valley a few days a week it was a lifesaver.

Oh yeah, the handhelds are great -- most everyone I race with has one (except for the really la di da folks who have them mounted on their boats lol) and they totally rock. You can enter multiple waypoints by longitude and latitude and create your own customized maps for things like hiking and boating. You can also get software for most of them that maps to city streets and stuff like that also --
