Goat hitches lift on Midlands tram
Commuters in West Bromwich were left sitting next to a goat after it wandered onto a tram platform.
The animal ran into one of the carriages as the driver and a Midland Metro controller attempted to catch it.
Passengers stroked its head as it hitched a ride to the company's depot, where it was met by RSPCA staff.
Controller Valerie Coley told the Birmingham Evening Mail: "The passengers couldn't believe it. One said to me: 'I know I had a drink last night, but is that a goat sitting next to me?'
"In the end everyone started making a fuss. When it was time to get off it didn't want to move, it was enjoying it so much."
Animal rescue workers are trying to reunite the goat with its owner.
