there was zeros everywhere for a while...kinda freaked me out...now I get the saem error

Hey Guys! We were having a stats issue for a short time things are back up and will be 100% back to normal in about 30 minutes

I see a big difference in referring "hits" vs. hits reported on the traffic page. Not sure it that's the way it always is?

Referral hits show your raw hits while the hits reported on your traffic stats page are unique hits.
