Something about the SLR just doesn't look practical. Who needs more poweer than the SLK already provides? I'm a grown man, I'm not drag racing anywhere. I live in a metropolitan area where I'm lucky to be able to do 100 for more than a minute.
If you live in another area that allows you to do more than that regularly I envy you.
I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

I completely agree with you. But I'm 6'1"-6'2" I test drove the SLK before settling upon the G35. There wasn't enough room in the SLK for me. I need my seats wayyyyy back.
Neither. Dont spend the money on a car like that for some fucker with no insurance to crash, or some fuck stick in the parking lot to key or ram a grocery cart into it.
well alot of MB enthusiasts were mad that Mercedes was borrowing the SLR's face for the SLK and the SL's retractable hardtop. Mercedes went against all the criticism to attract more men to the car.

Man, I'll tell ya from personal experience, you dont need ANY room to open that car up, and its, just the most rediculous car, maybe ever........ That car is on a whole different world !!!!!
get used to it, manual gear boxes will soon be all but gone. Don't be fooled....these cars aren't fitted with "steptronic" (aka torque converters) they are REAL electrohydrolic gearboxes. Once you drive a Ferrari with paddle shifters, or even an M3 with SMG II. You will all but forget about manuals. Cars are now utilizing the same technology found in F1 racing cars....you don't hear those guys complaining and they're doing 210 down straightaways
I am thinking abou getting the slk55 I just can nto justify the price of the sl55 but the retractable hard top and the fact that it is even with 80-100K porches for 60K makes me go hmmmmm. bang for the buck... slk55 is good.. still ahev to go test drive it and see if I like it as much as the porsche.
SLK55 also still lookig at the sl500 but its a slow poke compares to the slk55 and it cost 40K more... now the sl600 is different altogether but its 100K more..
