Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

![]() well, i don't know - and i don't mean anyone special - but programs paying $35 per signup or 70% recurring to webmasters - how can they live??? do they even pay the billing?
or can you say: the less they pay to webmasters the better the websites are cause the owners spend their money on quality design and content? or do they have to shave cause otherwise their business wouldn't survive? discuss... |

every biz as different business model,Some could pay you 100 percent and still make money maybe selling the member other things for example.....l dont think pps sponsors need to shave to offer big paypouts, although l guess some will.

I can tell you right now that we don't shave ... there's no need if you have retention .... we also don't offer ridiculous payouts like $75 PPS ... but we do offer (and i believe we are the only ones) $30 PPS and 25% recurring combined .... this does lower our profit but if your making money so are we ... we think with good content and good customer service ... we can all make plenty ... if your not pushing Mobbucks check it out ..it's worth your time ..

that sounds indeed nice and i'm sure i will check that out. are you already participating in Remotethumbs? and btw - i have been told from 2 reliable sources that some programs even do reverse shaving - they give sales to affiliates so that they don't pull their links. must be cause their sites suck and have bad conversions. funny |

I think most shave, lets face it, their in it to get rich, not make you rich
If I were a sponsor I wouldnt offer PPS, just rev share. Then I would see where the numbers ended up and adjust the % as necessary.

Also - I have a spreadsheet that shows exactly how different payout models effect your bottom line. If you want it, just hit me up.

Good thread here, I always wonder how this makes any company money. I feel like they are playing a huge game of catch up since the processing companies are 2 weeks behind, they payout for the most part bi monthly so there is anywhere from a 2 to 6 week window in the payout structure.
So you keep taking in money each and every day with these elaborate payout models and then pay the webmasters on money that you earn within the 6 week window and just keep pushing ahead. BUT I spoke with some processing companies in the past and once the fraud issues are under control they could offer real time payments. Then the window will be gone and the company has got to strip their bottom line pretty bad. Recently a large company posted that they that their webmasters had earned 28k in either 24 or 48 hours because of some news related to their site. Their site is 40 per month, no trial, and they payout 35 per sign up. If you divide 35 into 28k it was something like 800 joins. No multiply the 800 joins by 40 and you get 32k. Then subtract the 2 and you have a 4k profit less all other expenses, hosting, office, feeds ,etc. How can they have made any money if the person does not recur? For me to do that that is putting a lot of faith in your site that they do recur at 40 per month. What has happened in my opinion is programs have to offer these huge payout because otherwise webmasters will not support them at all, and they are at the mercy of the webmasters pretty much and the result is this living month to month because of the time delay in payouts. Mark I am going to contact you man to take a look at that spreadsheet for sure because this business model has to be risky, no matter what your retention is.

A site paying 35/70 isn't "shaving" just because it's still in business. First I'd conclude they are very good at retaining customers ..
Then take a look at the site itself and use your own judgement: Basically, is it a good, retaining site? Also consider the join cost, upsells, etc. etc. and you may find they get a LOT more revenue than you think ... and 35/70 is easy to pay for them! |

thats a tough question but if the business model is setup right, there is plenty of room to profit evet at high PPS payouts

pps sponsors know that content is king and when youve got great content your members retain. And even when they leave your site you can still make money off them by sending them some advertising or if you want to be downright evil sell thier name/address/phone to "erotic" companies.
