Greatly depends on the kind of content you are referring to.

i think most reality content sucks. you gotta really 'feel' the project, it's got to be something the shooter has some passion for, so the best reality stuff tends to be shot in house. you can't be shooting 5 different reality sites and really do a good job on any of them - max would be 2 i think.

there are only a handful of good 'reality' sites out there.

Best, who knows but be careful. Many shooters suck, and are scammers.

Stick with someone who has experience.. I doubt anyone has produced more content for the web over the last 3 years than I have.

At one point we were shooting 50+ reality scenes a month, for over a year....

It made ARS a fortune, and we did ok with our own stuff.

not true at all (the in-house part)... its better if the producer focuses on one site to make it look different (trafficcashgold for example.. im not saying its bad, but every niche/site is shot in the same room) some change would be nice, even change in producers is good to, making each site unique and different from the others

Valid point.

Combine the two ideas and you have a winner.

IMHO......Whoever comes up with the initiial site concept should either be the one shooting it or should at least personally oversee the production in order to keep it true to what they had intended and not become another cookie cutter piece of crap "reality" site.

i see what you are saying about tcg, but i think they are more focused on just producing good quality scences then any reality type aspect

I like to think IM right up there. I shoot consistantly for many of the larger programs and for my own dvd lines which sell very nicely and have gotten 3 and 3 1/2 star ratings. I think Im able to deliver a vast array of styles to fit different peoples eyes. Im still working on the perfect lighting and trying to get the perfect shots.

There are so many reality style sites out there now I've probably only seen 20% of them - most look very lame. You really do need the right male talent and the shooter needs to understand the concept and put some real thought into it.

Very funny.

In my opinion, Joe kicks ass for video. We kick ass for photos and there are many many more great shooters around. Just depends on what people are looking for.

it is... but then in this case where the question is about the overall production, its more difficult to say since all the scenes are shot in same room
