VISA to require CC forms be CISP compliant

CISP compliance guidelines

I understand that MC will do something similar.

I'm told the initial compliance check will cost $20,000 AND there are annual re-checks that cost $5-10K. I have not verified these fees.

$20k is a load of donkey bollocks. No way will it be that amount. Max $1k with a max $750 per year renewal.

This is completely different from the visa fees to accept visa. This is only for people who host their own secure CC forms.

You don't need 6 million signups per year, 20,000 triggers a 3rd party security scan. That probably doesn't cost $20K though. Level 1 merchants (6 million) need the full program.

I think Relish is right: For most of us it's probably about a grand to comply.

Not just 3rd party processors. Anyone that uses our secure payment forms through our natvie payment pages are compliant already.

This seem's like another gouge ploy by the credit card companies.

They like extra cream. Maybe a little to much cream.

This is for anyone that uses a secure payment form to accept credit cards, and you can get an "Annual Site Certification" for 100 bucks a year.
