These islands do not sink :) They know exactly what they are doing, tested this for quite some time to figure out how to do it best. Man-made islands are used all over the place nowadays to do things.

Thats why I keep saying Dubai is not really special, it just makes it bigger and more exclusive, thats all.

Hong Kong's new Airport is built on a man-made island. As is one of Hong Kong's biggest and newest skyscrapers.

Oh, and the Burj Al Arab in Dubai is also on a man-made island.

Is it true that the airport island is made out of trash? Supposebly they dumped huge amounts of trash in the water and created that island for airport use.
