IWantU/AFF pre-selling examples - GoFuckYourself.com

Ok, so I've been alternating between displaying IWantU.com ads or AFF ads on my site and getting a pretty pathetic 1:35 free signup ratio. Anyone have some urls to some good examples of "pre-selling" that everyone talks about?

Also do you feel pre-selling is more for simply getting a person to click on the ad in the first place, or is a major factor in converting the click-thrus to signups?

I think it would be difficult to pre-sell on a AFF PPS type prog.....

The sell really has to be done by them - there is too much of a delay between the free sign and the conversion, and too much happening in between

Just my opinion, I could be wrong on that.........

PPC could be different..........

Well, pay-per-free email signup i mean i guess. Since on both sites that's the first screen you're taken too.

if you pre-sell you will most likely send more qualified, but less hits to your sponsor. this might improve your sponsor ratios, but does that make you more money if you send less hits?

all you should care about is how much money you make with 1000 ad impressions ...
