Online Vid-Gamers (Q3A, CS, UT2k3, etc..) I need your input =)

we're looking at setting up a dedicated machine for 1, some, all, or more of these games, but I'd like to track down information from as many people as possible before getting started. Can anyone help me out with the following questions:

>> For All these questions, assume a dual 2 ghz box with 2 gb of ram <<

1.) Can you run game servers for different games on the same machine without a significant performance impact?

2.) How many individual game servers can you run on the same box (if that's the only thing running on the box) before it starts to slow the server down?

3.) How many players can a game box handle before it gets bogged down?

4.) What ping time do you consider a "good" ping time?

5.) what are your favorite games to play online?

6.) Anything else you want to share?

It really depends on the games you're running. Some are more processor and bandwidth intensive than others. I have personally had two 16 player counter-strike servers running on a decent P4 server and had no problems. I've hosted UT 2004 games as well as Battlefield 1942/Desert Combat servers (HUGE bandwidth hogs) but not at the same time.

For me, any ping over about 80 is too high.

As far as games go, I would say Desert Combat, Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament 2004 or maybe even a little Quake 3.
