You think most of the designers went to school for design? I'd say they were just artists and computer literate and learned on their own / of course you need to have an eye and creativity.

Exactly. This is how I learned designing; by experimenting. Most designers who went to a design school are shit designers anyway.

Like you said, the talent and the eye for certain creativity is far more important than an education.
