It's been debated here that 9/11 was staged by the US Government - and I laughed. Now I'm beginning to wonder.

I'm a huge fan of President Kennedy and I read about him constantly. He and his staff was obessed with Cuba. I'm currently reading a book about NSA secrets, and if any of this is true it's down right scary.

According to this book, Operation Northwood was approved by all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This opertion outlined a number of possible options to drag Cuba into war, making it look like they attacked us.

- Having a US manned MIGs attack our base in Cuba, blaming it on Castro.
- Having a US manned MIG shoot down a US airliner in route to Panama or Columbia, blaming it on Castro.
- Exploding John Glen's historic rocket flight, being the first from the US to venture into space, and blaming it on Castro.

Is any of this believable?

(I might have the name of the "operation" wrong here......)

Actually Glenn was the 3rd American in space. He was the first American to ORBIT the earth.

I've heard many arguments supporting this theory, and based on the accomplishments the Bush administration was finally capable of after 9/11 I can't brush aside the possibility.

And yes, most Americans are sheep.. sad but true. Don't even get me started on the "Off Roaders for Bush campaign".

Even if the US wanted to stage something there are better ways to accomplish that objective other then creating a massive economic recession within your own country.

Not only lives but the hundreds of billions of dollars lost in economic recession.

They could of just hit the pentagon to merit war.. they didn't need to aim for four targets..

Castro was a good friend until he kissed up the the soviets and allowed them to have nuke missles 90 miles from the US shore.

Everything you read about Cuba in the late 50's and early 60's needs to keep this in mind because it was the basis of hte actions the US took.

FYI" Kennedy lost his balls and should have taken Castro out when he had the chance. He should hof also stayed the fuck out of Vietnam like his brother Bobby told him to.

If you study history back then of who Kennedy had around them it makes Bush's people look like total pros today ?

History will tell I guess!

I dont think that Kennedy's death had anything to do with Cuba. I think it was because he was going to take the control of our money away from the federal reserve and put it back in the hands of the congress. The only other president that attempted to do the same type of thing was Lincoln and he met the same fate as Kennedy.

They didn't need to plan the targets, they just needed to look the other way as the attacks neared. The Bush administration had clear warning from the Clinton Admin regarding the likely attacks on US soil.

And I might add rather obvious as well being that it wasn't the first time such a event took place.

Besides, It would take way more then just the Bush administration to look the other way.. we are talking thousands of people across several agencies.

How about the US gov't subjecting a whole town to high level radiation as an experiment, to see what the effects of nuclear war would be on the population? There are many many examples of the gov't sacrificing it's own citizens in the name of national security.

The only thing I can't find believable is that people actually accept the govt's theory on Lee Harvey Oswell having magic bullets. Anything else is up for grabs after that.

I don't consider myself a conspiracy nut, but I've read a number of books about how Kennedy died. The best explaintion I came across was that he was shot - accidently - by the Secret Service. Lee Harvey Oswald did in fact take a shoot at the limo but missed by a mile; As the secret service pulled out their guns one of the agents directly behind him pulled out his Uzi and it went off. According to this book, the Warren Report detailed every gun and how ammo each agent had at the time of the shooting - except for this one agent.

It does quickly explain the magic bullet idea.
